Microneedling
How does our Microneedling work?
As the name suggests, these medical spa treatments use numerous micro sized needles to puncture the skin. This process can trigger the formation of new collagen and elastin, as well as the entry of revitalizing skin, stimulating collagen and helping smooth out scars caused by acne and texture. During microneedling, PRP or exosomes are best when used with a microneedling treatment. These treatments result in smoother, toned skin. Microneedling is also the perfect treatment option for someone who has cleared active acne.
Â
At Skyn Lab, we offer 2 forms of microneedling:
1. Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling
Involves heat from the device to remodel collagen and the depth of the needles creates a controlled injury to promote elastin cells to regenerate, smoothen, and tighten the elastin fibers of the skin.
2. Traditional
microneedling
A collagen induced therapy from the micro injury to the skin but without the heating factor.
Both options offer great results and your provider will help you identify which you may benefit from.
