Magic of Sciton BBL

April 26, 2022

We haven’t found the mythical fountain of youth, but we have secured the next best thing: the Sciton laser. It goes by the “Facial Ferrari” in our med spa.

Sciton laser treatment has shown significant promise as a way to both remove imperfections and create a lasting improvement in the skin’s overall tone, firmness, and texture. BBL is the world’s most powerful IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device on the market. It sets new standards in treating skin conditions associated with aging, active life-styles, and sun damage.

Who can benefit?

BBL may be an appropriate treatment for you if you have any of the following:

  • Age spots
  • Acne Scars
  • Uneven Pigmentation
  • Broken Capillaries
  • Rosacea

How does the treatment work?

The light energy delivered by BBL will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, making it clearer, smoother, vibrant and younger looking. The system delivers a combination of flex- ibility, speed, patient comfort and efficiency for exceptional results and return on investment.

With the broadest range of wavelengths, provider’s can personalize treatments to fit each patient’s needs. BBL requires fewer treatments to achieve visible and superior results than other IPL systems.

What can patients expect after?

You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some spots, you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Results depend on your skin type, the number of treatments, and the area treated. Your physician will provide you with complete information about the post treatment care and results.

It is important to follow aftercare instructions. You may be given some skin care products and instructions on how to use them. You will be sensitive to ultraviolet light, and you must avoid direct sun exposure until completely healed. Fully cover your skin or use a good sunscreen whenever you go outdoors.
