Pregnancy Safe Skincare

February 7, 2024

Soon-to-be mothers! As you enter into this beautiful chapter in your life we know you want to look and feel beautiful. We also know by now that medical grade skincare products contain more active ingredients than over the counter products that might not be safe during pregnancy. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t great medical grade products that you can’t use. We spoke with our beautiful esthetician and soon-to-be-mother herself, Sammie Hui and she put together an amazing pregnancy safe skincare routine just for you!

PREGNANCY SAFE SKINCARE ROUTINE:

  1. ZO Gentle Cleanser
This gentle cleanser is great for all skin types, its silky gel formulation deeply cleans to remove oil, make up and other impurities while keeping your skin feeling refreshed.     View Product
  2. ZO Dual Action Scrub
ZO’s Dual Action Scrub is both a chemical and physical exfoliation to reduce surface oil while gently clearing out any breakouts. Its lactic acid chemically exfoliates dead skin cells while its salicylic acid decongest pores.
  3. ZO Daily Power Defense
This one and done moisturizer also happens to be a brightener. It contains Vitamins A and E, two potent antioxidants to help the signs of premature aging and help strengthen the skin’s protective barrier.                    View Product
  4. Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection
SPF is extremely important, unfortunately most sunscreens are chemical based which is not ideal during pregnancy, fortunately Colorescience is a great pregnancy safe sunscreen as it is mineral based and is the safest for all skin types.

If you’re looking to add more products to your day to day routine check these two! Both have been approved by Sammie.

Skyn Solutions Lactic Resurfacing Serum
If you’re looking for another great chemical exfoliant, our Skyn Solutions Lactic Acid is a milk-based exfoliant that is great for gently removing dead skin cells. Apply two to three pumps at night per week.
ZO’s Brightalive
When used in the AM, ZO’s Brightalive is great for treating melasma and hyperpigmentation while delivering a lightweight hydration.
