Safety & Side Effects

The LUXE HydraFacial is one of the most broadly tolerated resurfacing treatments available — appropriate for virtually all skin types including sensitive, reactive, and compromised skin.

Common reactions Mild redness or warmth immediately following treatment — typically resolving within 1–2 hours. Skin may appear flushed directly post-treatment before the characteristic post-HydraFacial glow becomes visible.

Rare side effects Sensitivity reactions to active booster ingredients — uncommon when products are matched to skin type and current condition. Minor purging activity in the days following extraction work — a normal skin response as congested material clears, not a complication.

Contraindications Active inflammatory acne or open lesions; active rosacea flare; sunburn or compromised skin barrier; active cold sore or skin infection in the treatment area; known allergy to any treatment ingredients — inform your provider before treatment begins. The acid peel step may require modification for highly sensitized or reactive skin.

Disclosure required Inform your provider of all skincare products and prescriptions currently in use — particularly retinoids, prescription acids, and active treatments — recent in-clinic procedures, known sensitivities or allergies, and any changes to health or medications since your last visit.

Results are visible immediately and continue to develop over 5–7 days as active ingredients process and cellular responses mature. Optimal outcomes are achieved with a consistent treatment schedule. Individual results vary based on skin type, concern severity, homecare adherence, and treatment frequency.

Typical Treatment Protocol

1. Skin assessment and consultation — your provider evaluates skin type, current concerns, and treatment goals to select the appropriate booster combination and tailor the protocol for that session.

2. Vortex Cleanse — deep cleansing and exfoliation using the HydraFacial vortex tip to remove surface debris and prepare the skin for subsequent steps.

3. Acid Peel — a gentle glycolic and salicylic blend applied to loosen dead skin cells, decongest pores, and refine surface texture without visible peeling or discomfort.

4. Vortex Extraction — painless automated suction removes blackheads, impacted sebum, and follicular debris from cleansed pores.

5. Vortex-Fusion® Infusion — targeted LUXE boosters infused into the skin via the vortex delivery system, delivering active ingredients directly into prepared, open pores.

6. Finishing and protection — targeted LED light therapy applied where indicated; protective moisturizer and mineral SPF applied before departure. Homecare recommendations and follow-up scheduling provided.

Treatment duration typically 60 minutes. Recommended every 4–6 weeks for ongoing maintenance and progressive skin health improvement.
